Use these tips to improve your search, or start a new search.

I entered my health care provider's first and last names. Why am I getting "0 results"?
Please try again using your provider's last name only, and please double-check that you have entered the correct spelling of your provider's name.

I don't know how to spell my provider's last name. What should I do?
A more general search will give you results in alphabetical order; you can look within that list for your provider. You also may use the "Refine Search" feature or start a new search. For the best results, fill in as much information as possible within the "Refine Search" fields.

When should I use the "Refine Search" feature?
If you want to add or change some of your information without starting a new search, use the "Refine Search" feature.

How can I find a provider who is an expert in one area of medicine, not a general practitioner?
Find a health care professional with advanced training by following these steps:

• In the "Provider Type" drop-down menu, select "Specialists"
• Please choose your desired specialty type from the "Specialty" drop-down menu

What is the “Advanced Search” feature?
If you have a gender or language preference when selecting a provider, use the "Advanced Search" feature to narrow your results. You also can use this feature to find providers who have extended office hours or who are part of Providence Medical Group.

I'm interested in finding an alternative care provider. Can you help?
We recommend first checking your benefits to make sure that your specific plan offers coverage for alternative care. Using the "Refine Search" feature, you can select "Alternative Care" from the drop-down menu of provider types. You may further refine your search by selecting a specialty type - from "acupuncture" to "naturopathy."

How do I use the "Name/Keyword" box?
You can use this box, part of the "Refine Search" feature, to search in a number of ways, including by:

• Provider first and last names
• Facility name or type
• Specialty
• Biographies
• Languages

Please note: searching by name or keyword will return a list of providers that may or may not be covered by your health plan. Please verify that the provider you select is covered by your insurance.

Why is it beneficial to search with my member ID number?
Using your member ID number helps ensure that only those providers covered by your specific plan will appear in your search.

Where do I find my member ID number?
Your member ID is located under your name on your member ID card, in the upper-left corner.

Can I control how my search results are sorted and listed?
You can search for providers alphabetically and by location. By default, the search results are listed alphabetically. To search by location, enter your ZIP code under the "Location" section of the "Refine Search" feature. Our online directory will return results for providers, beginning with those who are closest to your location.
